Raise Awareness
Impactful conversations with disabled people and accessibility experts
Watching someone struggle with the interface that you have crafted can be one of the most confronting things in interface design. But it can also be one of the most powerful motivators for change.
Whether it is meeting a blind person for the first time or having a chat with someone who experiences continual chronic pain, or watching an old man struggle to use his mobile phone, we all need ‘a-ha’ moments to truly understand how difficult digital interaction can be.
One of our key drivers at Access Advisors is to raise awareness of accessibility and access needs across the motu (country). To that end we provide a range or awareness raising activities that can help you and your team have the ‘a-ha’ moments needed for truly inclusive design.
Access Advisors has a panel of people with disabilities from across Aotearoa New Zealand. They want to be part of the solution and are interested in being involved. Our panellists have a variety of access needs and want to help you understand what they need to use your product.
We recruit participants, you set the stage and together we provide:
- Interactive assistive tech demo sessions
- Highlight reels of users using your products
- Webinar sessions on a specified topic
- Impactful conversations with our panellists.
In addition to our amazing panellists, all of our senior staff are skilled and experienced public speakers. If you would like one of us to come and speak at your event then get in touch.
